Wyeast 1217 West Coast IPA Yeast – Seasonal Limited Release

This strain is ideally suited to the production of west-coast style American craft beers, especially pale, IPA, red, and specialties. Thorough attenuation, temp tolerance, and good flocculation make this an easy strain to work with. The flavor is balanced neutral with mild ester formation at warmer temps, allowing hops, character malts, and flavorings to show through.

1217-PC West Coast IPA has thorough attenuation, temperature tolerance, and medium-high flocculation, making this strain particularly easy to work with. Mild ester provides a well-balanced neutral flavor creating a focal point for hops, malts, and other flavors to show through eloquently. Pair your West-Coast-Style craft beer with strong and bold flavors of Biryani to heighten the spice and bring out the sharp hops.
